Skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to improve hydration and overall skin quality without significantly changing your facial shape. They may be considered when the skin appears dry, dull, finely lined or less elastic.
At Jaime Correia Aesthetics, skin-booster treatment is never one-size-fits-all. Jaime will assess your skin, medical history, facial anatomy and treatment goals before recommending the most appropriate product and treatment plan.

What Are Skin Boosters?
Skin boosters are injectable treatments placed within or beneath the skin to support hydration, smoothness and overall skin quality. Many contain hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally present in the body that binds water and helps maintain skin softness and hydration.

Unlike conventional dermal fillers, skin boosters are not primarily intended to create facial contours or replace significant volume. Their principal purpose is to improve the condition and appearance of the skin, although individual products differ in their composition, placement and intended effects.

Results and recovery
Skin-booster results generally develop progressively rather than producing an immediate change in facial shape. Improvements may become more noticeable as the treatment course progresses and temporary swelling settles.

Redness, tenderness, bruising, swelling and small visible bumps can occur around the treatment sites. These effects are usually temporary, but recovery varies between patients and products.

Less common complications, including infection, inflammatory reactions, nodules and vascular compromise, will be discussed during consent. You will receive clear aftercare instructions and information explaining when to contact the clinic.
